Dr Carol Blackburn is a consultant in Paediatric Emergency Medicine in CHI Crumlin since 2012.
She graduated in Medicine from University College Cork in 2000 and trained in Paediatrics in Ireland via the RCPI Higher specialist training scheme. She undertook a clinical fellowship in Paediatric Emergency Medicine at the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne from 2010 to 2012. She is the PEM representative to the Emergency Medicine Programme. She is also currently one of the NSDs for training in paediatrics at HST level. Her specialist areas of interest include paediatric procedural sedation and is an APLS instructor and course director.
