Mr Brendan Lawlor

Brendan Lawlor is the Health Service Executives Chief Emergency Management Officer for East Region of Ireland for the past 20 years.  Brendan previously served in the ambulance service in a number senior officer positions.  He was part of the team that established the health services first Emergency Management Office in the ERHA and went on to develop the HSE’s Emergency Management function on the establishment of that organisation. 

Brendan represents the HSE on a number of national and interagency strategic groups. Brendan has being involved in the development and conducting of major emergency and crisis management training programs and exercises both for health and other statuary services.  He is a graduate of Coventry University and has also completed European Union Civil Protection Mechanism training (EUCPM) World Health Organisation (WHO) Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) Management training and is an instructor in the Emergo Training System developed by Linköping University Sweden.
