Ms Breda Barrett

Breda Barrett is the Community Paramedic (CP) for the Mid- West area. Breda has been working for the National Ambulance Service for 21 years and has been working out of a rural Ambulance station in Newcastlewest as a CP for 2 years.

Breda started training in the National Ambulance training school in St Mary’s hospital in the Phoenix Park in conjunction with the University College Dublin where she attained her Initial Diploma in Emergency Medical Technology.

Further to that Breda completed a Diploma in Drug and Alcohol studies from the University of Limerick in 2012. Breda took up the role of Paramedic Supervisor in 2014 and completed a Diploma in lean six sigma, along with a Bachelor’s of Science in Paramedic Studies in 2015 from University of Limerick and a Master of Science in Specialist Paramedic Practice in 2021 from University College Cork.
